Ivelisse Rivera Godreau, MD is a Family Physician who has been practicing for over 20 years. Her areas of interest are Preventive Primary Care, Trauma-Informed Care, Integrated Care, Human Trafficking Advocacy and Mentorship, and Addiction Medicine. Her goal is to provide multidisciplinary and holistic care to those who suffer of complex medical conditions associated with complex trauma and developmental trauma.
She was born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico, where she earned her medical doctor degree after training at the University of Puerto Rico. In 2002, she, her husband and their 1 year-old son moved to the Catskills in the state of New York where she practiced traditional family medicine for 6 years. In New York her family added a new member after their daughter was born. In September of 2008 they moved to the state of Connecticut where they currently live.
